Description

Moonlight is a thrilling solo adventure that drops you into the gritty world of Midnight City, where you'll take on the role of Dexter "Sly" Harrigan, a hard-boiled detective with a penchant for getting out of tight spots. Your partner's been kidnapped by the notorious Big Louie "The Claw" Marconi, and you've got less than three weeks to rescue them. With a simple yet engaging set of rules, you'll dive headfirst into a comic noir universe, using a combination of dice rolls, grid coverage, and strategic storytelling to guide your investigation. As you navigate the mean streets of Midnight City, you'll spend each day rolling six dice and using them to fuel your investigation, hustling for leads, and searching for clues. Collecting clue sets will help you level up your skills, giving you a better shot at pinpointing your partner's location and outsmarting Big Louie's goons. But time's running out, and you'll need to make escalating ransom payments at the end of each week - which means taking on daring heists to raise the cash. With the Heist overlay board, you'll use your honed skills to maximize your loot and then cover your tracks by destroying and fabricating evidence, all while staying one step ahead of the law. In this 45-60 minute adventure, designed by Matthew Folger and released in 2025, you'll need to balance your detective work with your life of crime, all in the hopes of rescuing your partner before it's too late. With its unique blend of grid coverage, roll-and-write mechanics, and storytelling, Moonlight offers a fresh take on the solo gaming experience. Will you be able to incriminate Big Louie, pay the ransom, or track down your partner before the police catch on to your crime spree? There's only one way to find out - dive into the world of Moonlight and start sleuthing.
