You'll be pairing your nation with an ideology, such as fascism or monarchism, which will give you access to unique focus decks that can greatly impact your resources and path to victory. These decks are made up of cards that you'll play throughout the game, influencing everything from scoring points to making trade agreements or declarations of war. As you play, you'll need to manage your resources, including political power, stability, production, and manpower, all of which are crucial to your nation's success. You'll start each round by receiving resources based on the territories you control, and you can gain more resources through trade agreements and special engine cards. But be careful - you'll need to pay to maintain your stability, or risk facing the consequences of a plummeting stability level. The game also features a political board, where you can manage your relationships with other nations, forming alliances or declaring war as you see fit. With the ability to move units through allied territories, you can launch surprise attacks or defend your borders with ease.
