Card Game
Description
Michigan Rummy is a classic card game that's easy to learn and fun to play with a group of friends, from 2 to 9 players. First published in 1939, this game has been entertaining people for generations with its unique blend of poker and rummy. The game starts with a deal, where each player receives a hand of cards, and a dummy hand is dealt in front of the dealer. The dealer can choose to exchange their hand with the dummy hand or sell it to the highest bidder, adding a thrilling layer of strategy to the game. The gameplay is divided into two main parts: a hand of poker and the Michigan Rummy round. In the poker round, players bet on their best five-card hand, and the winner takes all the chips in the poker pool. The Michigan Rummy round is where the game really comes alive, as players take turns playing cards in sequence, trying to be the first to get rid of all their cards. Certain cards, known as pay cards, can be played to win chips from the corresponding section of the board. The game ends when one player has discarded all their cards, winning the chips in the Michigan Rummy Pot, and the winner can even earn extra chips by collecting one chip from each player for every card they have left. With its simple rules and exciting gameplay, Michigan Rummy is a great choice for anyone looking for a fun and social card game.
