Description
In Arrival, you're not just playing a game - you're embarking on an epic journey through space and time. As one of the ship's AI minds, you've got a century-long trip to a new star system to ponder what makes a successful colony. The ship is carrying two genetically engineered human species, the Goomans and the Hikikomori, each with their own unique abilities and strengths. Your destination is a new star system, with two habitable worlds, Stor and Liten, each divided into five distinct levels with their own temperature zones. It's a daunting task, but with simple rules that can be explained quickly, you'll be ready to start exploring in no time. As you play, you'll need to manage technology, ecology, and society to establish a thriving colony, all while navigating the challenges of space travel and the nuances of your AI's programmed philosophy. You'll roll for new challenges, select worksites to recruit workers and perform tasks, construct vehicles and habitats, and manage resources to keep your colony growing. But beware - if your AI accumulates too much distrust or shame, the colonists may abandon you. And if you're lucky (or unlucky), your AI could even evolve beyond its original programming, becoming a superintelligent entity capable of rewriting its own destiny. With 120 minutes of playtime, you'll have plenty of time to explore the depths of the game, whether you're playing solo or with up to five friends. The best part? Arrival can be played in a variety of ways, depending on how the colony's government evolves. You can work together cooperatively, compete against each other, or engage in political maneuvering - the choice is yours. Designed by Phil Eklund, Arrival is a game that's all about exploration, strategy, and a little bit of luck. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a new adventure, Arrival is the perfect choice. And as a standalone sequel to Interstellar, set in the High Frontier universe, you can bet that Arrival is a game that's out of this world.
