Description

A Touch of Evil: Dark Gothic – The Dryad of Harper's Wood is an exciting expansion that adds a fresh layer of horror to your gaming experience. Released in 2014, this promo set was designed by Jason C. Hill and is meant to be played with the A Touch of Evil: Dark Gothic or A Touch of Evil: Dark Gothic – Colonial Horror base games. The game is simple to learn, with rules that can be explained quickly, making it easy for 2 to 6 players to jump right in and start playing. With a playtime of 45 to 60 minutes, you can expect a fun and thrilling experience that won't take up too much of your evening. The Dryad of Harper's Wood introduces a new Level III Magick villain that will put your skills to the test. When she appears, a line of Living Trees is placed below the center line, and whenever you acquire a card from the center row, a Living Tree card moves in to replace it. These Living Trees come with a price, requiring extra resources to defeat, and if you can't pay up, they'll make their way straight to the Shadows pile. The Dryad herself is also a formidable foe, requiring +1 resource to defeat for every Living Tree still lurking in the center line. This adds a new level of strategy to the game, as you'll need to carefully manage your resources and plan your attacks if you hope to emerge victorious. With its deck, bag, and pool building mechanics, A Touch of Evil: Dark Gothic – The Dryad of Harper's Wood offers a unique and engaging gameplay experience that's perfect for fans of horror and card games. As an expansion, it's designed to build upon the excitement of the base game, providing new challenges and opportunities for players to test their skills. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a fun and spooky experience, The Dryad of Harper's Wood is sure to deliver, so gather your friends and get ready to face the horrors that lurk in the shadows.
