As you sail to new islands, you'll discover opportunities to import trade goods, purchase powerful tomes, rescue captured nobles, and plunder hidden wealth, all while increasing your victory points. The introduction of a new game board, "The Islands", adds a fresh layer of strategy, as you'll need to use the "Sail" action to access these distant lands.
