Description
Get ready to dive into the mysteries of the universe with Dark Matter, a fan-made expansion for the Arkham Horror Card Game. In this Science Expansion, you'll embark on a thrilling adventure to save the solar system from an ancient, otherworldly force. As Kate Winthrop, The Scientist, you'll have the chance to wield new, cutting-edge tools and instruments inspired by real science, exploring humanity's most impressive achievements across the solar system. With the ability to perform additional actions using Researched cards, you'll be able to fuel your Flux Stabilizer and unlock new discoveries, but beware of the Dimensional Rift and the horrors that lurk beyond. This expansion adds a fresh layer of excitement to the game, with 10 new Science cards that can be purchased using experience points. These cards are based on real-life technologies, including the Germanium Detector, which is currently being used to search for dark matter. The twist is that these cards have a special variation of the Researched keyword, allowing you to buy them between scenarios without needing to meet prior conditions. This makes them perfect for Kate Winthrop, who can use them to boost her scientific prowess. Additionally, the expansion includes 5 new scanning cards that can be shuffled into the finale of Dark Matter, Starfall, offering a chance to uncover some of humanity's greatest space exploration achievements. Whether you're playing solo or with up to 3 friends, Dark Matter: Science Expansion promises a thrilling experience that combines cooperative gameplay, deck construction, and scenario-based missions. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, you can dive right into the action, exploring the unknown and pushing back against the forces of darkness. The game's playtime of 60 to 120 minutes ensures a satisfying, immersive experience, and the Print & Play format makes it easy to get started. So gather your friends, grab your cards, and get ready to embark on a journey through the frontiers of space and science, all in the name of saving the solar system from the clutches of evil.
