Description

Outrageous sacrilege is afoot, as puny mortals dare to worship other gods, but you know the truth - you are the most glorious deity in the cosmos. It's time to bring your full power to bear and prove once and for all that you deserve the throne of the Almighty. In this game for 1 to 4 players, you take on the role of a moody ancient god, competing for belief and glory by performing various acts upon mortals. You decide their fate, choosing whether they will lead full, prosperous lives or suffer terribly by your hand. As you play, you'll use Act cards to impact the Mortals in one of four different lands, generating Belief and setting the stage for festivals where you can score Glory. But beware, for the Mortals are a shared resource, and you'll need to outwit your opponents to use them to your advantage. Each god plays differently, with unique powers and abilities that you'll need to leverage to create, influence, and smite Mortals to your advantage. You'll start with a basic deck of Acts, but as the game progresses, you can earn unique Mighty Acts that give you a strong advantage - if you can afford the high Power cost, that is. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, the game is easy to pick up, but with a playtime of 60 to 90 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to develop your strategy and outmaneuver your opponents. As the game reaches its climax, the god with the most Glory will be crowned Almighty, so you'll need to use your powers wisely to come out on top. With its unique blend of area majority, deck building, and hand management mechanics, Almighty is a game that's full of humor, fantasy, and mythology, with a hint of ancient, prehistoric, and religious themes. Whether you're playing solo or with up to three friends, you'll have a blast competing to be the most glorious god of all. So gather your friends, choose your god, and get ready to bring your divine powers to bear in the battle to become the Almighty.
