Description

Anno Domini: Lifestyle is a fast-paced and interactive card game that's all about navigating the timeline of history. Designed by Urs Hostettler and published in 1998, this game is part of the popular Anno Domini series and is easy to learn, making it accessible to a wide range of players. With 2 to 8 players able to join in, it's perfect for parties or gatherings with friends and family. The game is quick, lasting around 30 minutes, so you can fit in a few rounds and have a blast competing with each other. The game starts with each player receiving 9 cards, with the event side facing up. From there, players take turns adding cards to a growing row, trying to keep the events in chronological order. But here's the twist - instead of adding a card, a player can challenge the last player to test their knowledge. If the challenge is made, all the cards in the row are flipped to reveal the dates, and if the order is correct, the challenger gets penalized with two new cards. If not, the player who made the mistake gets three additional cards. This bluffing mechanism adds a fun and social element to the game, as players need to strategize and try to outsmart each other. With 340 cards to work with, the game offers a lot of replayability and variety, covering a wide range of historical events. The goal is simple: be the first player to add all your cards to the row in the correct order. With its unique blend of trivia, bluffing, and social interaction, Anno Domini: Lifestyle is a great choice for anyone looking for a lighthearted and engaging game to play with friends and family. Whether you're a history buff or just looking for a fun and easy-to-learn game, this one is definitely worth checking out.
