Description
In Armadillo, the goal is simple: get rid of all your cards as fast as you can. With 2 to 6 players competing, the game is quick, lasting only 20 minutes, and easy to learn, thanks to its straightforward rules that can be explained in no time. Designed by Rudi Biber and published in 2022, Armadillo combines the thrill of dice rolling with the strategy of a card game, making it a unique and engaging experience. The game starts with each player holding ten cards, numbered from 1 to 20, and two chips. On your turn, you roll a combination of six dice, each with its own set of numbers, to try and match the numbers on the cards in your hand. If you roll a number that matches a card, you can discard it, and if another player has the same number, they can discard their card too. But here's the twist - you can use your chips to tweak the rolled number, either raising or lowering it to match a card. And if you're feeling lucky, you can spend four chips to discard any card you want. As the rounds go by, the game gets more intense, with players trying to empty their hands before everyone else. The round ends when one player has discarded all their cards, and the others score points for the cards they still have left. The player with the fewest points after three rounds wins the game. With its simple yet strategic gameplay, Armadillo is a fun and fast-paced game that's perfect for a quick game night with friends or family. So gather your group, grab some dice, and get ready to roll your way to victory in Armadillo.
