Description

Ashes Reborn: The Scholar of Ruin is an exciting expansion to the base game Ashes Reborn: Rise of the Phoenixborn, designed by Nick Conley and Isaac Vega. Released in 2022, this expansion brings a new level of strategy and fun to the original game, with a playtime of 30 to 90 minutes for 2 players. The rules are simple and easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, but the gameplay is engaging and challenging enough to keep experienced players on their toes. With its unique blend of deck construction and dice rolling mechanics, this expansion offers a fresh and thrilling experience. In this expansion, you get to play as Rowan, a Phoenixborn who uses his ceremonial and time magic to excavate the ruins surrounding the historic battle site of Abylon. This ancient site is a powerful well of dormant magic, and Rowan will stop at nothing to harness it. With his pair of abilities, Rowan can dynamically access the powerful abilities of his closest allies, simulating their life and death in an instant to reap the rewards of their lifetime of work. The ruins of Abylon's outskirts are not easy to navigate, but with Rowan's knowledge and abilities, you'll be able to make your way through the challenges and discover the secrets that lie within. The Scholar of Ruin expansion deck is ready to play right out of the box, or you can combine the cards with your favorite allies and spells to create the ultimate Phoenixborn deck. This flexibility allows you to experiment with different strategies and playstyles, keeping the game exciting and new. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, Ashes Reborn: The Scholar of Ruin is a great addition to the Ashes Reborn series, offering a fun and engaging experience that will keep you coming back for more.
