Description

Get ready to dive into the complex and fascinating world of World War II with Action Pack #15: Swedish Volunteers, an expansion for the Advanced Squad Leader game system. Designed by Martin Svärd and Ola Nygårds, this game is not for the faint of heart, as the rules are quite complicated and will take even experienced board game enthusiasts some time to learn. But for those who are up for the challenge, the reward is well worth it. The game takes you on a journey through a variety of actions, from the Swedish defense of Märkäjärvi, Finland in 1940 during The Winter War to battles against Soviet forces during the Continuation War of 1941-44. With 16 scenarios to play through, including two brand-new ones, you'll be immersed in the world of war strategy and simulation. The game features a half-sheet of new counters with Swedish personnel, support weapons, guns, and concealment counters, as well as six pages of rules containing Scenario Special Rules, designers notes, and historical background. As a two-player game, you'll need to work closely with your opponent to outmaneuver and outstrategize them. Released in 2020, Action Pack #15: Swedish Volunteers is a must-have for fans of Advanced Squad Leader and World War II enthusiasts alike. Just be sure to have the core game system on hand, as this expansion is not a complete product on its own.
