Description

Get ready to experience the world of Ave Roma like never before with the MAGISTRATUS expansion, designed by Attila Szőgyi. This exciting addition to the original game introduces a new layer of strategy and depth, allowing 2 to 5 players to dive deeper into the ancient civilization. With the MAGISTRATUS expansion, each player is given a special ability that sets them apart from the rest, making every game a unique experience. Before the game begins, players are dealt two cards, which they must then narrow down to one, keeping the chosen card a secret from their opponents. The expansion simplifies the gameplay while introducing new mechanics, making it easy for new players to jump in, despite its 2016 release. The game rules are straightforward and can be explained quickly, allowing players to focus on the fun aspects of the game, such as set collection, trading, and worker placement. As players navigate the world of Ave Roma, they must balance their individual strengths with the demands of building a thriving civilization. With playtime ranging from 25 to 120 minutes, players can experience a quick and intense game or a more in-depth, immersive experience. The MAGISTRATUS expansion adds a new level of complexity to the game, but in a way that feels organic and engaging. The combination of simple rules and deep strategy makes the MAGISTRATUS expansion a must-have for fans of the original game. By introducing variable player powers, the expansion ensures that no two games are alike, keeping the experience fresh and exciting. As players compete to build the most prosperous civilization, they must use their unique abilities to gain an edge over their opponents. With its engaging gameplay and rich theme, the MAGISTRATUS expansion is the perfect way to breathe new life into the world of Ave Roma, and its ancient, economic, and civilization categories will appeal to fans of strategic games.
