Description

In the game Badlands, you'll embark on an adventure of exploration and city building, set in a fantasy world of mystery and monsters. As one of 1 to 5 players, you'll navigate a modular board, using roll and spin mechanics to move through the land and uncover its secrets. With a playtime of 120 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to delve into the world and discover its wonders. The game's normal complexity makes it accessible to those familiar with board games, and its design by Austin Searles ensures a engaging experience. As you travel through the land, you'll encounter various challenges and opportunities, from defeating enemy creatures to accepting quests and building your own city. The farther you venture from the main city, the harder the challenges become, but the rewards are also greater. You can collect taxes from your city, trade items with other players, or even use curse scrolls to hinder your opponents. With a richly detailed world to explore and a variety of gameplay mechanics to master, Badlands offers a thrilling experience for fans of adventure, city building, and fantasy. First published in 2005, this base game has stood the test of time, and its unique blend of exploration and strategy makes it a must-play for anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding gaming experience.
