Description
Bedlam is a ridiculously fun card game that throws you into the chaotic world of an asylum, where lunatics from all corners of the multiverse have gathered. With simple rules that can be explained in no time, you'll be diving into the madness in minutes, and the gameplay can last anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes, perfect for a quick blast or a longer, more intense session. The aim of the game is to accumulate Heart and Mind points, but beware - if you lose all your Heart points, you'll be Scared to Death, and if you lose all your Mind points, you'll have Gone Crazy, either way, you're out of the game. On your turn, you'll face off against Enemies or Ordeals, using a clever Slider system to boost your Courage and Sanity stats, trying to outdo the challenges you're facing. When you succeed, you'll earn Reward cards and points, bringing you closer to victory. But it's not just about individual survival - you can also place Stuff cards on the table, which can be Weapons, Buddies, or Things, to either help yourself or sabotage your opponents. These cards can completely flip the script on your friends, adding a delicious layer of unpredictability to the game. With 2 to 4 players, the more, the merrier, as alliances will form and tempers will fray in this hilarious free-for-all. Designed by Sam Bowring and David Williams, Bedlam is a masterclass in simple yet engaging gameplay, with a perfect blend of strategy and humor. The game's lighthearted, humorous take on the asylum setting makes it a blast to play, and the Hand Management, Player Elimination, Role Playing, and Take That mechanics all combine to create a thrilling experience. Whether you're a fan of card games, humor, or just great gameplay, Bedlam is sure to deliver, and its 2014 release has proven that it's a game that stands the test of time, still entertaining players to this day.
