Description

Belfort: Her Majesty's Civil Service is the ultimate expansion to take your Belfort game to the next level, introducing never-before-seen content that seamlessly integrates with any previous edition of the game. With this expansion, you'll experience a fresh wave of excitement and dynamics, as you navigate the city with new and intriguing mechanics. The game is designed for 2 to 5 players, and with a playtime of 120 minutes, you'll have ample opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Belfort. Given its normal complexity, fans of board games will have no issue learning the rules and diving right in. This expansion is packed with innovative features that will challenge and delight you. The Queen of Belfort can be moved to different districts, granting players special powers when they build in her location. Meanwhile, the Heritage Preservation Society restricts certain areas, forcing players to make tough decisions, especially when playing with fewer than 5 players. Ms. Parks and Mr. Rex, two bylaw officials, will travel through the districts, altering the scoring and requiring clever players to position themselves strategically. The Key to Belfort, backed by the powerful Locksmith Guild, is the ultimate goal, offering influence and advantage to those who earn their favor. However, beware, as the guild's loyalty can shift, making their support fleeting. As you explore the new content in Belfort: Her Majesty's Civil Service, you'll encounter the Less Red Tape Rules, designed to streamline gameplay and emphasize precision timing. This expansion is all about mastering the art of city building, managing your resources, and influencing the various districts to emerge victorious. With its unique blend of area majority, hand management, card drafting, and worker placement mechanics, this game will keep you engaged and invested in the world of Belfort. Published in 2020 and designed by Jay Cormier and Sen-Foong Lim, Belfort: Her Majesty's Civil Service is the perfect addition to your gaming collection, offering a fantasy city-building experience like no other.
