In Bohnaparte, you'll embark on a conquest of the Bohnreich, a territory created with new cards included in this expansion. Each player receives their own colored counters, and gameplay loosely follows the original Bohnanza rules, with one key difference: earned bean coins are used to finance your conquests, rather than being saved. The goal is to control the largest part of the Bohnreich, and battles are fought using the numbers on the bean cards, giving new significance to previously weaker bean types. As designer Hanno Girke describes it, this expansion is like "Bohnanza meets Risk." Meanwhile, High Bohn Plus introduces new game variants, two new bean types - the Cognac bean and the Field bean - and exciting opportunities to spend your thalers on buildings in Virginia City, complete with attributes that offer new tactics for winning.
