Description

Bolt Action: Dad's Army is a super fun expansion to the popular Bolt Action game, letting you bring a piece of British TV history to life on your tabletop. For those who don't know, the game is set in the context of World War II, where a massive citizen army, the Local Defense Volunteers, was raised to defend their families and homes. Although they were armed with old or ad hoc weapons and equipment, the Home Guard, as it became known, was a vital part of the defense of British shores. This expansion lets you field a unique set of characters from the classic TV show Dad's Army, including Grocer Hodges, Frank Pike, and of course, the iconic Captain Mainwaring. The game is designed for 2 to 99 players, yes you read that right, 99 players, making it perfect for large scale battles or casual gatherings with friends. With a playtime of 120 to 240 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to immerse yourself in the world of Dad's Army and lead your troops to victory. The game mechanics are based on action queue and dice rolling, which are easy to learn, even for those new to board games. The rules are of normal complexity, so if you're familiar with board games, you'll have no issue picking this up. The game comes with 18 detailed pewter miniatures in 28mm scale, along with plastic bases and rules on how to field your Dad's Army troops in games of Bolt Action. The miniatures are incredibly detailed, with characters depicted in both civilian garb and military uniform, adding a fun and unique twist to the game. You'll get to see Captain Mainwaring lead the charge, Private Pike take aim, and Sergeant Wilson barking orders, all in the midst of a chaotic battlefield. With its unique blend of humor, history, and strategy, Bolt Action: Dad's Army is an expansion that's sure to bring a smile to your face and a lot of excitement to your gaming sessions. Whether you're a fan of the TV show or just looking for a new challenge, this game is definitely worth checking out.
