Description
In Bone Wars, you'll take on the role of a palaeontologist in the late 1800s, a time of fierce rivalry between legendary figures Othniel Marsh and Edward Cope. As you work for one of these men or strike out on your own, you'll need to cleverly use your action cards to outdo your competition. These cards can activate your team to dig up fossils and discover new species, or your paleontologist to publish papers, debunk rivals, and earn awards. With each published species, you'll add cards to your player board, earning bonuses that depend on how many species you've already discovered. As you navigate the world of Bone Wars, you'll need to balance your actions to maximize your points. Publishing papers will earn you loyalty points with your patron, and at the end of the game, these points will be multiplied by the number of papers you've published to determine your victory points. With 60 to 120 minutes of playtime and a complexity that may take some time to learn, Bone Wars is a game that will challenge and engage you. Designed by Wim Goossens and released in 2024, this prehistoric-themed game is perfect for 1 to 4 players who are ready to dig in and experience the thrill of discovery and competition. With its unique blend of hand management, multi-use cards, worker placement, and different worker types, Bone Wars is a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
