Description

Callanish is a strategic board game for two players that's easy to learn and plays out in just 30 minutes. Set in the stunning landscapes of Scotland's Outer Hebrides, the game takes its inspiration from the ancient stone circles and alignments found in the area. Players take turns placing stones on a 9x9 grid, trying to create lines of the same color either horizontally or vertically. The twist is that these lines can be made up of single stones or stacks of stones, and they can be contiguous or separated, adding a layer of complexity to the game. As you play, you'll need to think carefully about your moves, trying to outmaneuver your opponent and create the lines you need to win. The game's pattern-building mechanics make it a great fit for fans of abstract strategy games. With its simple rules and deep gameplay, Callanish is a great choice for anyone looking for a quick but challenging game. First published in 2014, it's a hidden gem that's waiting to be discovered by gamers looking for something new and exciting. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a fun and strategic game to play with a friend, Callanish is definitely worth checking out.
