Description

In Carcassonne: The Messengers, a small but exciting expansion for the classic Carcassonne game, players get to experience a new layer of strategy and fun. Designed by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede, this 2012 expansion is easy to learn and can be enjoyed by 2 to 6 players. The game introduces a second scoring meeple that players place on the scoreboard at the start of the game, allowing them to decide which meeple to advance when scoring points. This simple addition opens up new possibilities for players to earn bonus points and take special actions, adding a fresh twist to the original game. As players score points, they may land on dark spaces on the score track, triggering the draw of a message tile. These tiles offer a range of benefits, from scoring points for roads, cities, or cloisters, to drawing extra tiles or returning followers to their supply. Players must strategically choose which option to take, adding a new level of depth to the game. With its simple yet engaging mechanics, Carcassonne: The Messengers is a great addition to the Carcassonne series, offering a new way to experience the classic territory-building gameplay. Whether you're a seasoned fan or new to the series, this expansion is sure to bring a smile to your face and keep you coming back for more.
