Description

In CGT: Card Game Traders, you'll dive into a world of high-stakes collecting, where the goal is to amass the most valuable collection of cards from famous trading card games. This isn't just about gathering cards, though - it's about manipulating the market to make your collection the most valuable. See, in each game, you'll help create the "Meta", a unique economy that dictates the value of each card. With seven different cards and 24 distinct abilities that can change the game, every playthrough is a fresh challenge. As you take your turn, you'll play a card from your hand, increasing its value and unlocking its special ability. This ability might boost the card's value even further or give you an edge in the market. Then, you'll get to buy new cards from the market, but there's a catch - you can only afford cards that are collectively valued the same or lower than the new value of the card you just played. It's a delicate balancing act, as you strive to control the Meta and outmaneuver your opponents. With two to four players and a playtime of just 20 to 45 minutes, CGT is the perfect game for a fun and frenetic evening with friends. Designed by Damjan Miladinović and released in 2023, CGT boasts a normal level of complexity, making it easy for board game enthusiasts to pick up and play. The game's unique blend of hand management, market manipulation, set collection, and variable setup ensures that no two games are ever the same. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just looking for a new challenge, CGT: Card Game Traders is the perfect way to test your strategic mettle and come out on top.
