Description

Get ready to steep yourself in the world of tea with Chai: High Tea, an exciting expansion for the popular board game Chai. This expansion is all about celebration - celebrating the diversity of tea cultures from around the world, and adding a fresh twist to the original game. With the introduction of new player powers, you'll get to experience the unique flavors of afternoon tea, horchata, or yerba mate, and discover how they can enhance your gameplay. Whether you're a seasoned tea merchant or just starting out, Chai: High Tea has something to offer, with its easy-to-learn rules making it accessible to players of all ages and skill levels. In Chai: High Tea, each player receives a unique double-sided ability board at the start of the game, which can be used as an optional free action on their turn. These ability boards feature 12 different powers, ranging from subtle to game-changing, and can be flipped over whenever an ability is used, offering a new skill to master. The expansion also includes two transparent dice, which add a new layer of unpredictability to the game. With the ability to play solo or co-op, Chai: High Tea is perfect for anyone looking to spice up their teahouse, whether they're playing alone or with friends. The game's short playtime of 20 to 60 minutes makes it easy to fit in a session, and with support for 1 to 5 players, you can enjoy it with a group of friends or as a relaxing solo experience. Chai: High Tea is a great example of how an expansion can breathe new life into a game, and its compatibility with the solo and co-op gameplay of the original Chai means that you can enjoy it in whatever way you like. Designed by Dan Kazmaier and Connie Kazmaier, and published in 2021, this expansion is a must-have for fans of the original game, and a great introduction to the world of Chai for new players. So why not put the kettle on, gather your friends, and get ready to immerse yourself in the wonderful world of tea with Chai: High Tea?
