Description

In Coin Rail Yard, you take on the role of yardmaster, responsible for managing the rail yard and keeping the trains running smoothly. As a solitaire game, you'll work through one of 16 scenarios, aiming to complete the day's work in as few turns as possible. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll quickly get started, operating locomotives to break down arriving trains and build up departing ones. The game's simplicity makes it accessible, but don't be fooled - there's still plenty of challenge to be found in optimizing your workflow and minimizing mistakes. As you play, you'll encounter a touch of randomness and flexibility in how the rail cars are arranged, making each scenario play out differently even on repeat attempts. This variability keeps the game exciting and fresh, and with guidelines provided for generating your own scenarios, you can keep the game going long after you've completed the initial 16. Plus, with expansion maps planned, there's even more to look forward to. With a playtime of just 60 minutes, Coin Rail Yard is a great way to spend an hour, immersing yourself in a simulation game that's all about trains and strategy. Designed by Christopher Clouser and first published in 2011, this print-and-play game has been delighting players for years, and it's ready to do the same for you.
