Description
Commands & Colors: Medieval is a game of medieval warfare that's easy to learn and fun to play. Designed by Richard Borg, it introduces new concepts to the Commands & Colors system, such as superior armor and status when battling, and cavalry units with increased blocks. The game also features a deck of Medieval Command cards that drive movement and create a "fog of war," as well as battle dice that resolve combat quickly and efficiently. In this 2-player game, you'll take on the roles of the Byzantine Empire and Sassanid Persians, reliving historical confrontations from 530 to 627 AD. With a playtime of 60 to 120 minutes, you'll need to adapt your battlefield tactics to gain victory, taking into account the strengths and limitations of medieval unit types, their weapons, and the terrain. The game's stylized battlefield scenario maps emphasize important terrain features, making each battle a unique and exciting experience.
