Description

Contra is a classic abstract strategy board game that's been around since 1975, designed by J. Brian McCarthy. This simple yet engaging game is perfect for two players looking for a fun and challenging experience. The game rules are easy to learn and can be explained quickly, making it accessible to players of all skill levels. The game takes place on an 8x8 square board, where each player starts with a set of eight arrows in four different colors: white, blue, yellow, and red. The colors of the arrows are crucial to the game, as they have a unique relationship with each other - white beats blue, blue beats yellow, yellow beats red, and red beats white. Players take turns moving one arrow at a time, trying to outmaneuver their opponent and reach the center four squares of the back row. The goal is to score points by matching your arrow's color to the color-coded squares, with matching colors scoring two points and non-matching colors scoring one point. With its simple rules and deep strategic possibilities, Contra is a game that will keep you coming back for more, challenging you to outthink your opponent and emerge victorious.
