Description

Get ready to take your Cosmic Colonies experience to the next level with the Monumental Achievement Expansion, designed by Scott Almes and published in 2020. This exciting addition is meant to be played with the base game and can be enjoyed by 1 to 5 players, making it a great option for solo gamers or a fun night with friends. The gameplay is straightforward and easy to learn, with simple rules that can be explained quickly, so you can dive right into the action. In this expansion, you'll find 9 monumental tiles and 10 new worker cards, including 5 basic and 5 advanced workers, which were originally created as a free bonus for Kickstarter backers. These new elements bring fresh challenges and opportunities to the game. At the start of each game, you'll add a number of monuments equal to the number of players, and then it's up to you to claim them by creating the exact shape of a monument with free squares on your board. If you succeed, you'll earn the corresponding monument tile, which is worth 5 valuable victory points at the end of the game. With a playtime of just 30 to 45 minutes, you can enjoy multiple games in one sitting and try out different strategies to maximize your points. The Monumental Achievement Expansion combines some of the most engaging game mechanics, including card drafting, pattern building, simultaneous action selection, and tile placement, to create a thrilling science fiction experience that's all about space exploration and building the ultimate cosmic colony. As you explore new worlds and establish your colony, you'll need to balance your resources and plan carefully to claim the most valuable monuments and outscore your opponents. With its simple yet strategic gameplay and exciting new elements, the Cosmic Colonies: Monumental Achievement Expansion is a must-have for fans of the base game and anyone looking for a fun and challenging board game experience.
