Description
In the world of Verona, corruption is lurking around every corner, waiting to be unleashed. Council of Verona: Corruption, an expansion to the popular Council of Verona game, brings a whole new level of deception and manipulation to the table. This 20-minute game for 2 to 5 players is all about strategic gameplay and clever bluffing, as you try to outmaneuver your opponents and rise to power. With incredibly simple rules that can be explained in no time, you'll be diving into the action in minutes, navigating the intricate web of alliances and rivalries in Renaissance-era Verona. The Corruption expansion adds 21 new cards to the mix, each one representing a different type of influence or ability that can be played face-up or face-down on any Character Card. These Corruption Cards can be used to add new influence spots, grant instant or ongoing abilities, or even serve as a clever bluff to throw your opponents off your trail. Players are dealt four Corruption Cards, but they'll have to choose wisely, as they can only keep two. This adds a whole new layer of strategy to the game, as you try to balance your own ambitions with the need to keep your opponents in check. With the Corruption expansion, the game of Council of Verona just got a whole lot more interesting. As you play Council of Verona: Corruption, you'll find yourself drawn into a world of intrigue and deception, where nothing is as it seems and anyone can be corrupted. Designed by Michael Eskue and Patrick Nickell, this expansion is the perfect addition to the original game, which has been thrilling players since its release in 2015. So gather your friends, grab some cards, and get ready to experience the cutthroat world of Verona like never before. Will you emerge as the most powerful player, or will you succumb to the corrupting influence of power? There's only one way to find out.
