Description

Counterplays is a strategic tile-stacking game that's all about outmaneuvering your opponent. Designed by Nathan Morse, this abstract strategy game is simple to learn but challenging to master. With just 20 to 30 minutes of playtime, you and your opponent will take turns placing hexiamond-shaped tiles, trying to get the most of your pieces on top when the game ends. The twist is that some of these unique tiles are not symmetric, so you can place them either side up, adding an extra layer of strategy to your moves. As you play, you'll need to think carefully about your placements, trying to block your opponent's tiles while setting yourself up for success. With 12 different hexiamonds to work with, the possibilities are endless, and the game requires a combination of short-term tactics and long-term planning. Counterplays is part of a family of games by Nathan Morse, including SEVEN, Pent-Up, and Stack-22, but it stands on its own as a fun and engaging challenge for two players. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a quick and exciting competition, Counterplays is a great choice, with its simple rules and deep strategy making it a game you'll want to play again and again.
