Description
In De Vulgari Eloquentia, players are transported to medieval Italy, where the emergence of a new language, Volgare, is changing the fabric of society. As a merchant, friar, or cardinal, you'll navigate the complexities of this new linguistic landscape, seeking to uncover the secrets of manuscripts and climb the social hierarchy. With each move, you'll gain Volgare points, the currency of status and culture, by reading manuscripts, improving your social standing, and amassing wealth and influence. As you journey through the game, you'll encounter famous figures like Francesco D'Assisi and Dante, and visit the revered Papal Library. With 2 to 5 players, the game unfolds over 120 minutes, challenging you to balance action points, area movement, and set collection. While the rules may take some time to learn, the reward is a rich and immersive experience that will leave you eager to return to the world of De Vulgari Eloquentia.
