Description

Dual Gauge: Honshu & Wisconsin Maps is the exciting expansion to Amabel Holland's Dual Gauge, bringing two new maps to the table that are sure to test your strategic skills. The Honshu map is perfect for 3 to 4 players, throwing you into a cutthroat environment where money is scarce and the terrain is unforgiving. As you navigate this challenging map, you'll need to work with your opponents to industrialize Japan's largest island, upgrading low-paying districts into profitable cities. But be warned, failing to do so will result in penalties at the end of the game, adding an extra layer of pressure to your decision-making. With the ability to create chokepoints on the fly, this map is not for the faint of heart. In contrast, the Wisconsin map offers a completely different experience, designed for 3 to 5 players. This sprawling map is all about big money, with a major gimmick that sets it apart from the rest: nine 5Ts, or diesel trains, that can run as far as you like along compatible track. The key to success lies in careful planning in the early game, as this can set you up for a massive triple-digit run in the final rounds. But with the risk of an inconvenient change in gauge or station stopping your diesel in its tracks, you'll need to stay on your toes to come out on top. Whether you're playing on the intense Honshu map or the ambitious Wisconsin map, you'll need to master the game's complex mechanics, including auction, network and route building, and stock holding, to emerge victorious. With a playtime of 60 to 90 minutes, Dual Gauge: Honshu & Wisconsin Maps is an expansion that's sure to keep you engaged for hours. And as an added bonus, it includes Company Charter cards, which were introduced when the base game was re-released in 2021. These cards add a new layer of depth to the game, giving early adopters a fresh way to experience the gameplay they love. So gather your friends, get ready to outmaneuver your opponents, and dive into the world of Dual Gauge: Honshu & Wisconsin Maps – a challenging and thrilling expansion that's perfect for fans of train-themed games and strategic gameplay.
