This game takes you on a journey to the land of Dunestar, a city filled with ancient mysteries and a culture that's both fierce and fascinating. Located on the banks of the Great River and surrounded by a scorching desert, Dunestar is an oasis that's not without its dangers, as the darkness that falls at night brings with it the ever-present threat of the Blight. This literal source of darkness is a constant menace, and the city's inhabitants have learned to adapt by storing the light of the sun in walls that keep the city lit even after nightfall. As you play Edge of Darkness: Sands of Dunestar with 1 to 4 players, you'll embark on a 120-minute adventure that's full of twists and turns. While the game rules may take some time to learn due to their complexity, the experience is well worth the effort. With deck, bag, and pool building, card drafting, and worker placement mechanics, this fantasy-themed expansion offers a unique blend of gameplay that's sure to keep you engaged. You can mix and match locations from Sands of Dunestar with those from the Guildmaster and Agent sets, or play with only Dunestar locations, giving you a high degree of flexibility and replayability. With its richly detailed world and immersive gameplay, Edge of Darkness: Sands of Dunestar is a must-play for fans of the Edge of Darkness series and fantasy board games in general.
