Description

Get ready to elevate your Elfenland experience with Elfengold, an exciting expansion that adds a fresh economic twist to the game. Designed by the renowned Alan R. Moon, this expansion introduces a new layer of strategy and competition among players. With 2 to 6 players competing over 120 minutes, Elfengold is perfect for those familiar with board games, as its normal complexity rules make it easy to learn and dive into. Published in 1999, this expansion builds upon the original Elfenland game, and its release shortly after Elfenland won the prestigious Spiel des Jahres award is no coincidence. In Elfengold, players engage in thrilling auctions and bidding wars to acquire transportation tiles, which are essential for navigating the fantasy world. However, to participate in these auctions, players must carefully manage their resources, making tough decisions each turn to either collect gold or draw more cards. This delicate balance between gold and cards adds a new level of depth to the game, as players must weigh the importance of having the right cards to utilize their transportation tiles against the need to accumulate gold to bid on these tiles. With its unique blend of auction, hand management, and point-to-point movement mechanics, Elfengold offers a captivating experience that will keep you and your friends engaged for hours.
