Description

In Escape from New York, you're dropped into a desperate bid to rescue the president and escape the treacherous streets of Manhattan, all within a tight 24-hour deadline. As one of four heroes - Snake, Brain, Maggie, or Cabbie - you'll navigate the dangers of a prison city, searching for the president, a crucial government tape, and a map to safe escape routes. The game is designed for 1 to 4 players and typically lasts between 40 to 90 minutes, making it an exciting challenge that can be completed in a single evening. As you explore the city, you'll need to manage your hand of cards carefully, using deck construction and tile placement to outmaneuver the gangs and stay one step ahead of the Duke of New York. But beware - at any moment, you or your fellow players might decide to betray the team and make a solo break for freedom, adding a thrilling layer of bluffing and semi-cooperative gameplay to the mix. With its normal complexity level, Escape from New York is easy to learn for fans of board games, and its blend of exploration, card play, and social interaction makes for a truly unforgettable experience. Will you work together to succeed, or will you take that risk and try to escape alone - the choice is yours in this gripping adaptation of the John Carpenter classic, designed by Kevin Wilson and published in 2024.
