Description
Fortress Europa is a classic wargame that drops you into the midst of World War II, tasking you with recreating the Allied campaign in Western Europe from D-Day to March 1945. As one of the two players, you'll take on the role of either the Allied or German forces, each with their own unique objectives and challenges. The Allied player must successfully land on the beaches, break out of the beachhead, and push deep into Germany, while the German player must prevent the invasion or conduct a strategic withdrawal. With a playtime of 240 minutes, Fortress Europa is an immersive experience that requires strategic thinking and planning. The game's normal complexity makes it accessible to those familiar with board games, and the various scenarios and sudden death victory conditions add replayability and excitement. Published in 1978, Fortress Europa has stood the test of time, offering a thrilling and challenging experience for fans of wargames and World War II history.
