Description
Gloom is the delightfully twisted card game where you literally make your family miserable for the win. Up to four players spend about an hour scheming, swapping, and stacking the silliest, darkest events onto their hapless characters—think sudden deaths, awful divorces, and cursed inheritances—while trying to keep the happy moments hidden from the other players. The rules are a breeze to pick up, but the fun comes from the storytelling: you narrate each tragedy with a grin, and the “take‑that” mechanics let you sabotage rivals and even force them to lose a turn when they least expect it. Designed by Keith Baker in 2005, Gloom blends easy hand‑management with a wicked sense of humor and horror, making every game a laugh‑out‑loud, grim tale. And if you can’t get enough misery, the mountain of expansions—from Unhappy Homes to The Looking Glass—offers endless new ways to ruin lives and laugh at the carnage.
