Description

Glory to Rome: Republic Expansion is a game that's been years in the making, and it's finally here to shake things up for fans of the original Glory to Rome. Published in 2012, this expansion is designed by Carl Chudyk and is meant to be used with the base game, bringing new life to the ancient world of Rome. With the Republic Expansion, you can expect a more balanced and forgiving game, especially for new players, and it's perfect for 2 to 5 players looking for a fun and challenging experience that lasts around 60 minutes. The Republic Expansion introduces 15 new cards that replace some of the original ones, adding a fresh layer of strategy to the game. For example, the Crane card allows you to use a card to lead or follow Architect, while the Domus Aurea card lets you demolish incomplete buildings with no materials when performing the Legionary role. The Forum Romanum card even offers a chance for an instant win if you have one client of each type and one material of each type in the stockpile. These new cards, along with some rule changes, such as starting with five order cards in hand and being able to Petition with two cards of the same role, make the game more dynamic and exciting. The game's normal complexity makes it easy for board game enthusiasts to learn and jump right in, and the Republic Expansion is no exception. With its new mechanics and cards, it's a great way to breathe new life into the original game and provide a new experience for fans. Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking to try something new, Glory to Rome: Republic Expansion is a great addition to any board game collection, offering a fun and engaging experience that's sure to keep you coming back for more.
