Description

Guns of Galicia is a wargame that drops you into the midst of World War I, specifically on the Eastern Front, where you'll maneuver corps and divisions through a hexagon grid, making tactical decisions that can turn the tide of battle. With a playtime of 60 minutes, this game is designed for 2 players, and its normal complexity rules make it accessible to anyone familiar with board games. The game mechanics, including a chit-pull system, dice rolling, and zone of control, work together to create a highly interactive experience that challenges you to think strategically and make the most of your resources. As you play through scenarios like the 1914 Galicia campaign, 1915 Tarnow campaign, and 1916 Brusilov campaign, you'll need to balance your movements and actions carefully, taking into account the limitations of your units and the lay of the land. The game's design encourages historically accurate play, without forcing you into a rigid set of rules that dictate every move. With Guns of Galicia, you'll experience the thrill of commanding armies on the battlefield, making tough decisions, and adapting to changing circumstances. First published in 2012, this game has been crafted by experienced designers Grant Wylie and John Gorkowski, and it's a must-play for anyone interested in wargames or World War I history.
