Description

Picture a bustling medieval port where the clatter of blacksmiths mixes with the roar of cannon fire, and a ragtag crew of pirates is ready to carve out their own slice of the world. That’s the vibe you get when you drop Hood: The Pirates Expansion into the mix. Designed by Mateusz Dąsal and Łukasz Sasuła, this add‑on takes the original Hood’s clever city‑building and dice‑rolling core and throws a salty, swash‑buckling twist on it. Suddenly your wooden walls aren’t just fortifications—they’re pirate strongholds, your dice rolls feel like rolling a cannonball, and every new tile you place could be the next hidden treasure cove or a dreaded pirate den. What makes this expansion so fun is how it keeps the rules razor‑simple—just a quick explanation and you’re off, even if you’re new to the series. Yet the extra layers of territory building, new pirate-themed cards, and a handful of fresh dice mechanics give seasoned players plenty of fresh strategies to chew on. With 2 to 5 players you can gather a small crew for a quick 60‑minute raid or settle in for an epic 150‑minute showdown, watching your city grow while rival buccaneers try to out‑maneuver you on the board. The blend of medieval city‑building vibes and pirate chaos creates a unique, replayable experience that feels both familiar and wildly new. Grab a mug of grog, roll the dice, and watch your pirate empire rise from the cobblestones. Hood: The Pirates Expansion is the perfect way to spice up your tabletop nights, giving you more of the same satisfying city‑building fun while adding enough rogueish flavor to keep every game feeling fresh and full of high‑seas adventure.
