Description
In the once-thriving hubworld of Aidalon, the Collective's arrival marked the beginning of a new era, rendering space travel obsolete and leaving the shipyards to collect dust. However, the people of Aidalon persevered, and a new breed of exceptional individuals known as Seekers emerged, trading in the black market currency of Shards and enlisting the help of influential Agents to further their own interests. In Hubworld: Aidalon, you take on the role of one of these Seekers, navigating the vertical streets of Aidalon and competing against other players to build a network of Agents and outmaneuver your opponents. As a Seeker, you're represented by a unique card and a 36-card deck that you construct, choosing from a pool of cards across four different factions. These cards can be Sources, providing valuable resources and information, Obstacles, which hinder your opponents' progress, or Moments, one-off abilities that can turn the tide of the game in your favor. Your goal is to secure three Agents from your opponents before they can do the same, and to achieve this, you'll need to delve into their Districts, navigating a hidden network of defenses, distractions, and surprises. With a playtime of 20 to 60 minutes, Hubworld: Aidalon is a game that demands strategy and cunning, as you balance building your own network with disrupting your opponents' plans. As you play, you'll need to manage your resources carefully, building a card economy that supplies you with a steady flow of Shards, the currency that fuels your actions. With the ability to play with 2 to 4 players, Hubworld: Aidalon offers a unique experience each time, as you adapt to the different strategies and tactics of your opponents. The game's normal complexity makes it accessible to fans of board games, and the combination of Action Points, Deck Construction, and Hand Management mechanics ensures that each game is a thrilling challenge. Will you rise to the top as a master Seeker, outwitting and outmaneuvering your opponents to claim victory in the shadowy world of Aidalon?
