Description

Il était une forêt is a game that lets you unleash your inner architect and build a thriving primary forest from the ground up. As a strategist, your goal is to create the biggest and most pristine forest, untouched by human degradation. But it's not just about size - you need to strike a delicate balance between fauna and flora to come out on top. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, this 15-minute game is perfect for 2 to 4 players looking for a fun and challenging experience. As you play, you'll build complete trees, each composed of four layers: roots, trunk, and crown. Each layer can host a limited number of animals, so you'll need to think carefully about how to create a harmonious ecosystem. With a focus on pattern building and tile placement, Il était une forêt requires you to think strategically about how to create a balanced forest, with just the right number of species and individuals. Designed by Florent Toscano and first published in 2013, this environmental card game is all about finding that perfect balance between nature and nurture, and it's a journey that's both entertaining and thought-provoking.
