Description

Initial D is a high-speed card game that's all about street racing, inspired by the popular anime series of the same name. In this game, designed by Dave Williams, you and your opponent will construct your decks around specific automobiles and add "tune ups" cards to give you an edge. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll be racing in no time, trying to outmaneuver each other on the track. The game is divided into three phases, mimicking the twists and turns of a real race: a curve where agility counts, a straight-away where speed is key, and another curve to test your driving skills. As you take turns playing "maneuver cards" to gain the upper hand, you can also bring in "navigators" - additional passengers in your car - to improve your chances of crossing the finish line first. With a playtime of just 30 minutes, Initial D is a fast-paced game that's perfect for a quick showdown with a friend. First published in 2003, this base game has stood the test of time, offering a fun and thrilling experience for fans of racing and card games alike. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a fun competition, Initial D is a great choice for a exciting and action-packed 30 minutes of gaming with a friend.
