Description

Picture a chaotic clash where massive kaiju stomp across a mystical Japanese landscape while sneaky yōkai plot in the shadows, and you’re right in the middle of the mayhem. In Kaiju, War of the Yōkai you and up to four friends (or a lone wolf solo player) dive into a fast‑learned, surprisingly deep game that lets you move monsters across the board, claim zones with area‑majority influence, and throw down battle cards that swing the tide in a flash. Dice add that extra punch of luck, while event cards keep the story fresh each time you play. The designers—Marco Maggi, Francesco Nepitello, and Michele Garbuggio—packed a ton of variable powers and set‑up options so no two games feel the same, and the team‑based mode means you can buddy up to out‑smart the competition. Expect a 2‑to‑4‑hour marathon of epic fantasy mayhem, but with rules simple enough to explain in a coffee break and enough strategic twists to keep you hooked session after session.
