Friends and Communities with La Loire

Description

In the 15th century, the Loire Valley in Central France was the hub of commerce and information, with the royal mail service and a complex network of post offices, warehouses, and delivery systems. This was a time of growth and wealth for the villages and cities along the Loire River, and now you can be a part of it in La Loire, a game of resource management and strategy. As a merchant or messenger, you'll navigate the streets and waterways of the Loire Valley, picking up and delivering goods and messages to build your wealth and reputation. With a playtime of 90 to 120 minutes, La Loire is a game that will challenge you to manage your resources effectively, whether you're playing solo or with up to three friends. The game's normal complexity makes it accessible to anyone familiar with board games, and its pick-up and deliver mechanics will keep you engaged as you build your trade empire. As you compete to become the richest merchant or messenger, you'll have the opportunity to build palaces, abbeys, and other structures, and even recruit influential personalities to aid you in your quest. Designed by Emanuele Ornella and first published in 2012, La Loire is a classic game of economic and transportation strategy that's sure to delight fans of medieval-themed games.
