In Le Plateau, players team up to connect at least two sides of the board with their counters, but it's not as simple as it sounds. To place a counter, you'll need to win tricks by playing cards that match the spaces on the board, with more valuable cards securing better positions. Before the game begins, players make a predictive bid on how many sides they think they can connect, which adds an exciting layer of strategy to the game.
