Description
Lobotomy: From the Deep is an expansion to the Lobotomy board game that dives into the dark and twisted world inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's novels. The setting is a mental hospital with an ancient evil lurking in its basement, where the Deep Ones, an amphibious humanoid race, are secretly preparing a ritual to summon their deity, Dagon the Great One. It's up to the patients of the asylum to stop this impending doom, but the question remains: are they crazy or is reality really at risk of being destroyed? This expansion set offers a range of exciting new elements to the base game, including five game-changing modules that alter the gameplay experience. New miniatures have been added, featuring a new character, Philip Howard, a horde of terrifying Deep Ones, and the fearsome Father Dagon. Players will also encounter new locations for challenging rituals, represented by small boards that add a fresh layer of depth to the game. Additionally, a deck of mysterious and powerful artifacts has been included, which players can earn as rewards for their efforts to save the world from the clutches of madness and destruction. With a playtime of 60 to 180 minutes, Lobotomy: From the Deep is suitable for 1 to 5 players, making it a great option for both solo players and groups of friends. The game's normal complexity level means that fans of board games will have no problem learning the rules and diving straight into the action. Published in 2017 and designed by Sebastian Kozak, Michal Kozak, Michal Marciniak, and Maciej Owsianny, this expansion is a must-have for anyone who enjoys the Lobotomy board game and is looking to add some Lovecraftian horror to their gaming experience.
