Get ready to embark on an epic adventure in Lord of the Rings: Sauron, a thrilling expansion to the classic board game. Two thousand years have passed since the Dark Lord's defeat, but now he's back and hungrier for power than ever. In this game, one player takes on the role of Sauron, using the Black Rider figure and special cards to thwart the Fellowship's every move. The other players must work together, using their unique skills and resources to outsmart the Dark Lord and destroy the One Ring. With its cooperative gameplay and variable player powers, Lord of the Rings: Sauron offers a fun and challenging experience for 3 to 6 players. The game's normal complexity makes it easy for board game enthusiasts to learn, and its 120-minute playtime ensures a satisfying and immersive adventure. Designed by the renowned Reiner Knizia, this 2002 expansion builds upon the original game, introducing new resources and challenges, including dark events and event tiles that can be rejected or accepted, adding a fresh layer of strategy to the game. Whether you're leading the Fellowship or commanding Sauron's dark forces, this game promises an unforgettable experience, full of excitement, teamwork, and strategic decision-making.
