Description

Get ready to dive into the world of Portuguese literature with Lusíadas, a competitive card game designed by Nuno Santos. In this 20-minute game for 2 to 5 players, you'll take on the role of helping Luís Vaz de Camões choose the characters for his epic poem "Os Lusíadas". The goal is simple: collect the best set of characters, including navigators, heroes, villains, kings, and mythological figures, to earn victory points. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll be immersed in the game in no time, strategically collecting cards to group sequentially numbered characters of the same type or gathering cards with the same number to represent each of the ten Cantos of the poem. As you play, you'll have the opportunity to obtain episode cards that reference key moments in the poem, which can be used as jokers to give you an edge. The game is all about strategic hand management and set collection, making it a fun and challenging experience. At the end of the game, your grouped cards will earn you points, while ungrouped cards will count against you. Will you be the one to help Camões bring his masterpiece to life by collecting the best set of heroes and villains from Portuguese history? With its unique blend of literature and gameplay, Lusíadas is a must-try for fans of card games and history alike, and its short playtime makes it perfect for a quick gaming session.
