Description
In Mai-Star, a card game designed by Seiji Kanai, players take on the roles of geisha competing for the coveted title of Mai-Star. The goal is to attract the richest and most demanding guests to earn the most money over three festival nights. To achieve this, players must balance increasing their popularity with earning money, as focusing solely on one aspect won't lead to success. With easy-to-learn rules and a playtime of just 30 minutes, Mai-Star is a quick and engaging game for 3 to 6 players. Using hand management and variable player powers, players strategically decide which character cards to use to boost their popularity and which to attract as guests. The game requires depletion of cards quickly to avoid minus points, making each round a thrilling challenge to become the ultimate Mai-Star.
