Description
Merkator is a game of economic strategy, where you navigate the rise of Hamburg after the Thirty Years' War. You'll visit cities to collect goods or fulfill orders, adding to the cities' resources as you go. Each order you complete earns you points and a new, more complex order to tackle, with the potential to exchange points for special cards that grant bonuses. As you travel between cities, you'll need to manage your "time" resource, spending it to enter certain cities or earning it in others. You can even follow other players to new towns, fulfilling your own orders along the way. The game ends when a player completes the highest-value order, and with 45 to 90 minutes of playtime, you'll need to balance strategy and speed to come out on top. With its engaging mechanics and historic setting, Merkator offers a fun and challenging experience for 1 to 4 players.
